We've been working with our buds over at Velo-Orange to get their rad bag ideas off the ground and into a cohesive bag line; matching their classic look and function with modern USA made materials and, of course, the Road Runner Bags guarantee!

First up is the Boxy Bag: A modern touch on the classic French Randonneur Bag but with modular abilities, durable USA made materials and seriously built to last a lifetime with its Cordura shell and Truck Tarp liner. This bag weighs in at a mere 1.75 lbs, has a 3D expanding large 'n' deep front pocket, modular mounts on the sides and back for optional accessory pouches, marine grade clear vinyl lid enclosed with a water resistant zipper; this thing is burly and effective!

The bag has an internal plastic stiffener and bottom mollee chain for versatility when mounting. Designed around Velo-Orange Randonneur Front Rack with Integrated Decaleur but will fit any type of rando bag rack. For best results, we suggest the VO Rack.

I took this beaut out for a morning mixed terrain, gravel dash through Elysian park.

We did our usual 8@8 ride where we meet up at Eightfold Coffee (Sunset/Vin Scully) at 7:30 AM for an 8 AM sharp departure. The group enjoyed the different views of LA as well as the car free streets of Elysian Park. My route included various single-track bum trails, bike paths along the 110 frwy, LA River and the Silverlake Reservoir. We overlooked the daily commuters on the 5 frwy, had a few safety stops; thankfully ya boi Gomez brought the proper paperwork, and ate purple sweet potatoes thanks to the ultimate Bag Dad Brad.

If you'd like to join in on one of our mixed terrain group rides, keep in touch with me on instagram or my boy Gomez, who, by the way, shot the lovely photographs above.
